Gardai in South Dublin have arrested a man following a late-night car chase that lasted for 40 minutes.
The man, 30s, rammed a garda car and drove through live roadworks during the pursuit which ended in his arrest in Kildare.

The chase began at around 2.30am last night after Tallaght gardai received a call about a man causing damage to a house.
When they arrived at the scene a man tried to evade the arrest kick-starting the chase down the N81 towards Blessington.
The driver then led officers onto the M7 where he drove through live roadworks.
He is also reported to have rammed a garda car in Emo in Laois.

He was eventually arrested in Portlaoise before being taken to Tallaght Garda Station where he is currently being detained.
A garda spokesperson said: "A male in his 30s was arrested near Carn, Portlaoise shortly after 3am this morning following an incident of criminal damage in Killinarden Heights in Tallaght earlier.
"He earlier failed to stop for Gardai . He is currently detained at Tallaght Garda Station."
