Man raffles 5 bedroom Victorian house after struggling to sell due to coronavirus pandemic

A man has raffled a 5 bedroom Victorian house on the website raffall.com which boasts 5 reception rooms, a modern kitchen and is described as being in "excellent condition."

Den Le Bon and his family who live in the 5 bed house in West Yorkshire, are still looking to move and have struggled to sell their house due to the coronavirus pandemic.

In desperation, Den and his family have listed the property on a raffle site and they are looking for people in the Bristol areas who may be interested in moving to West Yorkshire.

Den is also looking to raise money for the Clarendon Wing at Leeds General Infirmary after they saved the life of his 8-year-old daughter twice after she stopped breathing.

The cost of a ticket is £2 and a whopping 500,000 tickets have already been bought.

The property is described as a magnificent, Victorian, Gentleman's residence in an excellent location in West Yorkshire.

It's described as being in an excellent condition with modern kitchen and bathrooms and fitted out to an exceptional standard, situated in a very highly regarded area locally known as millionaires row.

Speaking to Bristol Live about the raffle, Den said: "I have decided to raffle my house after being inspired by Dale Tates successful raffle on his home in Ossett.

"Again myself and my family had sold our house, it fell through due to the pandemic and now we need to move but can’t sell.

"We have another baby on the way and thought we would try this as it worked for Dale very successfully. A lucky family won their dream home and Dale sold his house.

"It seems like a great way to get moved in the current property climate, I am also doing this as I am wanting to raise as much money as possible for Ward 52, Clarendon Wing, Leeds General Infirmary.

"They saved my 8-year-old daughter's life when she was rushed into the hospital, stopped breathing on arrival, they rushed her straight into theatre and saved her life twice that night.

"I have always wanted to help the ward and especially (John Gooden) the neurosurgeon who saved her.

"I believe this raffle would give the people of Bristol and the surrounding area a great chance to win this stunning property."

The raffle closes on Friday, October 30th at 9am.

If the host fails to provide a prize, the winners will receive a share of the compensation amounting to 75% of all ticket sales.

All compensation payments are guaranteed and paid directly by Raffall Limited.
