Man raced to hospital as woman arrested following alleged assault in Glasgow

A man has been taken to hospital after reports of an alleged assault in Glasgow today.

Officers from Police Scotland and paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service were called to Maryhill Road in the Maryhill area of the city at around 12.45pm on Monday, June 8.

Around three cop cars were spotted in the area as officers swarmed the scene.

A woman has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Following the incident the male was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where he remains.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “Around 12.45pm police received a report of a man being assaulted in Maryhill Road, he was taken to the GRI.

“A woman has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.”
