A man suffered a punctured lung in an assault at a train station after he asked two fellow passengers to put on face masks.

On 7 November at about 12.25pm the 52-year-old was repeatedly struck with a knuckle-duster in the attack at Barnes station in southwest London.

The British Transport Police (BTP) said two men kicked him as he left a train and continued the assault on the platform.

The victim was taken to hospital where he received treatment for several broken ribs and a punctured lung.

BTP detectives have released CCTV images of two men they want to speak to.

In a statement on Twitter, they said: “All we want for Christmas is to identify these two men...can you help?”

Anyone with information should text 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference 180 of 7 November 2020.
