Man punched in head and threatened with knife by gang of youths

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked and threatened with a blade.

A 29-year-old man was approached by a group of young people near the junction of Easton Road and Lawrence Hill between 12am and 1.15am on Friday (June 7).

The victim was punched in the back of his head and threatened with a knife by a member of the group.

His wallet, mobile phone and house keys were stolen and he suffered minor head injuries.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: "We are particularly keen on speaking to a cyclist who we believe may have seen the incident and may be able to help with our enquiry.

"If you were in the area at the time and saw anything, or you think you may have information that can help our investigation, please call 101 and quote reference number 5219126676."
