Police have issued an appeal after a man was punched in the face and head in a 'completely unnecessary' attack at a bar in Altrincham.
The incident happened at One Central Bar on One Central Way at around 9.20pm on Saturday, May 15.
The victim, aged 49, was approached by a man who sat down on his table.
The pair then became involved in an altercation and the victim was punched several times in his face and head, police said.

He received minor injuries which did not require hospital treatment.
No arrests have been made and detectives are now appealing for information.
Police have released a CCTV picture of a man they want to speak to in connection with the assault.
They have also released a picture of a luxury Breitling watch which was left at the scene.
Police believe it belongs to the offender.
Neighbourhood Policing Officer Grace Tarver, Of GMP's Trafford district, said: "This was a completely unnecessary assault on an innocent member of the public and we will not stand for such behaviour in our communities.
"Officers have carried out a number of enquiries, and as part of these we are releasing an image of a man we would like to speak to and have also located a watch which we believe may belong to the offender.
"If anyone in the local area has any information about the individual pictured, or was present at the time of the assault and has information that could assist our investigation, please get in touch has soon as possible."
