A young man was injured after he was punched in the face and mugged in a late night attack in Maynooth.
The victim, who is in his 20s, was set upon by several men as he walked along Straffan Road in the Kildare town at around 10:45pm on Monday night.
The man's face was injured in the attack and several items were taken from him before the thieves fled the scene.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live they are investigating the incident.
He said: "Gardaí are investigating a robbery from the person incident that occurred at approximately 10.45pm on Monday 16th December 2019 at Straffan Rd, Maynooth.
"A male in his 20s was approached and assaulted by a number of males sustaining facial injuries.
"A number of items were then taken from his possession before the males fled the scene.
"No arrests have been made and investigations are ongoing."
