Man punched in face by driver in broad daylight assault on Scots street

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was attacked by a driver in broad daylight on a Fife street.

The 29-year-old victim was punched in the face by an assailant in a car near Windmill Knowe, Crossgates.

The brutal assault took place on Wednesday, March 10 at around 10.30am.

It is not known at this stage if the victim required any hospital treatment.

A search is now underway for the SUV-driving attacker.

Cowdenbeath Police released a statement about the incident which reads: "Officers are appealing for witnesses following an assault which took place about 1030 hours on 10/03/21 near to Windmill Knowe, Crossgates.

"A 29-year-old male was punched to the face by a male who was driving a white Mercedes SUV.

" Any knowledge call 101 quoting reference936 of 10/03/21."
