A 33-year-old Montgomery man allegedly punched three people in the head last month in a St. Charles restaurant, allegedly shattering a drinking glass over one of them, prosecutors say.

Brett R. Willing is charged with four felony counts of aggravated battery in the Jan. 19 fight in the Filling Station Pub & Grill, 300 W. Main St., the Kane County state’s attorney’s office said in a statement.

Willing was with a group of friends when an argument erupted between his group and another, prosecutors said.

Willing allegedly punched three people in the head, including one while he was holding a bar glass, shattering it on his head, prosecutors said.

Doctors removed shards from the man’s head and stitched him, prosecutors said.

Willing was charged Jan. 25 and released on a cashless bond, according to court records. He was ordered to have no contact with the victims, and is barred from the restaurant.

He is due back in court March 10.

Willing’s attorney, Glenn Sowa, did not immediately return a request for comment.
