Man 'pulls gun on bouncers' at Glasgow city centre bar packed with Christmas revellers

Police have made an arrest after reports that a man allegedly pulled a gun on bouncers at a Glasgow city centre bar which was packed with Christmas revellers.

Pictures taken outside Nico's Cafe Bar on Sauchiehall Street on Saturday night show a person, wearing a baseball cap backwards, appearing to aim a firearm in the direction of the venue.

It is claimed that a man aimed a pistol at the stewards who then disarmed him.

A photo taken at the scene shows a man being restrained on the pavement with a bouncer holding what looks like a handgun.

A third photo taken at the scene shows what appears to be two bullets in somebody's hand.

Police Scotland officers raced to the scene after the incident.

"A 32-year-old has been arrested and a firearm recovered."

The incident comes amid one of the busiest nights of the year for bars and clubs in the city during the last weekend before Christmas.
