A man was saved by a PCSO and a cleaner after becoming stuck in the moat at Cardiff Castle.
Officers were alerted to a man in distress at Cardiff Castle after hearing a scream for help at 8.15pm on Saturday, November 20.
PCSO Loyd Bridgeman jumped into the moat after attempts to throw a buoyancy aid were unsuccessful.
South Wales Police have praised PCSO Bridgeman and Winter Wonderland employee Andrew Chandler, who assisted the rescue.

Officers first attempted to help the man by throwing a buoyancy aid, but his leg was trapped and he was unable to reach it.
PCSO Loyd Bridgeman then bravely entered the cold water and pulled the man to safety.
Officers were assisted by Andrew Chandler, a cleaner at the nearby Winter Wonderland.
Mr Chandler said: "I am in no doubt if he (PCSO Loyd Bridgeman) hadn't have jumped in, this man would have died.
"He is a credit to your force and to the uniform.
"As soaked and muddy as he was, he stayed with the man in the back of the police van to get him warm before taking him to hospital.”
The man was taken to University Hospital Wales as a precaution following the incident, which left him shaking and visibly upset.
South Wales police confirm that he is now safe and well.
Inspector Darren Grady said: "The bravery and quick thinking of the PCSOs have ultimately saved this man's life.
"I feel very proud that we have PCSOs like Lloyd Bridgeman among our ranks.
"Without their actions, the outcome for this man could have been very different."
