A 41-year-old man died of complications after he was pulled from Monroe Harbor Tuesday near the Museum Campus.

Crews responded about 4:25 p.m. to the 700 block of South Lake Shore Drive for reports of a person in the water, Chicago police said.

The man was taken ashore and rushed to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he died about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He was identified as Carlton Hughes of Gresham, the medical examiner’s office said. An autopsy found he died of complications of drowning and ruled his death an accident.
