Man posts ad on O'Connell Street looking for the world's strangest haircut

A hilarious prankster has taken to the streets of Dublin to post the world's most bizarre wanted ad.

A sign posted on the old Clearys building on O'Connell Street by a man calling himself Michael asks passersby if they are willing to give him a fresh haircut.

The sign, which was uploaded onto Reddit explains that Michael has been left without his usual barber and is now seeking willing hairstylists to help him out.

It reads: “Hi. I am Michael and I need a haircut. My usual hairdresser is on holiday so I am hiring a professional hairdresser, this is your opportunity to cut my hair.”

However, much like the ad itself, Michael warns his future hairdresser that his haircut routine is rather strange:

“I sometimes have second thoughts about getting haircuts so there is a chance that I may resist and try to fight you off.

“Please rest assured though, that it is just my nerves and I really do want you to cut my hair.

“So, no matter how much I struggle, know that I need this haircut and I give you permission to hold me down as long as necessary so that you can administer my haircut.”

Despite his quirks Michael is awfully polite and will remember to say thank you to the barber, if he gets the right man of course.

“Once the haircut is complete, I will say, ‘Thank you kindly, hairdresser.’ If you do not hear those exact words, that was not me and I probably got delayed or something. I will definitely be along sometime before lunch though.

“Michael.”
