Man pooed in police van after arrest for verbally abusing people at Leeds train station

A man verbally abused people at Leeds train station - then pooed in the police van after his arrest.

James Preston has been charged with two public order offences and criminal damage after the incident on Sunday night (November 3).

British Transport Police tweeted that the 39-year-old had 'evacuated their bowels' in a police van after his arrest for being verbally abusive to two people at the station.

Preston, of Headingley Lane, Headingley , will appear in court later this month.

A statement from the British Transport Police said: "James Preston, aged 39 and of Headingley Lane, Leeds has been charged with two public order offences and criminal damage. He will appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court on 20 November.

"The charges relate to an incident at Leeds station shortly before 9.30pm on 3 November."
