Man police want to speak to after assault victim was punched and left with cuts at Switch bar

Police want to trace this man after a clubber was punched and suffered cuts to his back in an assault.

Shortly after 2.45am on Sunday, November 10, a man was assaulted in Switch on Scotswood Road, Newcastle.

The victim was punched in the face and sustained cuts to his back that believed to have been caused by broken glass.

Officers are investigating the assault and have identified a man they want to speak to and have released his image.

He was seen in the area at the time of the assault and could have valuable information that could assist officers.

The man, or anyone who recognises him is asked to contact Northumbria Police by calling 101 or quoting log 152 101119.
