A man has admitted going on a bicycle stealing spree across Bristol which netted him ten bikes in the space of 30 days.

Kisel Piotr pleaded guilty to the thefts before magistrates in Bristol on Thursday, after he was charged with dwelling burglary and theft.

Detectives identified the 35-year-old, from Carlton Park in Redfield, after he broke into a home on May 31.

He got into the house in Brunswick Street, Barton Hill, and took a £1,000 bike from inside the home while the owner was asleep upstairs.

"Officers investigating the crime identified Piotr as the offender and connected him to a number of bike thefts that occurred between May 30 and June 29," said a police spokesperson.
