Guilty plea in Jarrod Turner murder

A southern Tasmanian man has pleaded guilty to an execution-style murder of young Hobart father Jarrod Leigh Turner.

The 22-year-old's body was found with gunshot wounds, on the side of a rural road near Richmond in April last year.

It was found dumped on Colebrook Road.

In the Supreme court in Hobart on Monday, Shannon James Duffy, 30, pleaded guilty to one count of murder.

The Gagebrook man had previously pleaded not guilty to the charge in April last year.

Duffy was arrested last year in the Fingal Valley area in Tasmania's north-east.

A 14-year-old girl was also charged with one count of being an accessory after the fact to the man's death.

Acting Justice David Porter remanded Duffy in custody ahead of sentencing next month.
