Man pleads guilty to manslaughter over Logan toolbox killings

A man has pleaded guilty for his role in the deaths of two people who were forced into a toolbox and dumped in a dam, south of Brisbane.

Webbstar Latu, admitted to manslaughter in relation to the killing of Iuliana Triscaru and Cory Breton.

The couple were locked in a large metal box that had been submerged in a dam in Kingston, in Logan.

Their bodies were retrieved from the dam in February 2016, 18 days after they were last seen alive.

Latu was originally charged with murder, but on Friday afternoon the Crown accepted Latu's guilty pleas to two counts of manslaughter.

He is among seven men and a woman who have been charged in relation to the killings.

Latu will be sentenced in the Supreme Court in Brisbane on October 9.
