Man performing sex acts on Sydney buses

A man will appear at Sydney's Central Local Court charged with performing sex acts on buses. (AAP)

A 64-year-old man is accused of performing sex acts in front of passengers while travelling on buses in Sydney's inner city and inner west.

Police say the offences occurred between February and March in full view of passengers on public transport in Sydney's CBD, Redfern, Haymarket, Broadway and Newtown.

The man was arrested at Railway Square in Sydney's Haymarket on Wednesday and charged with 10 counts of carrying out a sexual act with another without consent.

He was refused bail to appear before Central Local Court on Wednesday.
