Three men who dumped household waste by the roadside in Knowsley have been ordered to pay hundreds of pounds after confessing to fly-tipping.
Ryan Queen, 27, of Wilson Road in Prescot, dumped waste including a bed frame and broken pieces of wood in Water Lane, Tarbock Green in April last year.
Trading as Ryan’s Removals, he had been paid by residents to dispose of their household waste, but ended up leaving it in a turning near the Knowsley Expressway.

Eventually, he was tracked down and brought to court, where he admitted dumping household waste without a permit at Liverpool Magistrates’ Court back in April.
He was ordered to do 100 hours of community service over the next year and pay £600 towards Knowsley Council’s costs. He must also pay £95 towards victim services.
More recently, two men appeared in court on June 24 charged with fly-tipping household waste in Prescot late last year.

Rafal Bednarz, 32, of Bigdale Drive in Kirkby, and Wactaw Jasek, 21, of Glan Aber Park in West Derby, were caught on CCTV dumping a mattress and other items in Croxteth Lane last autumn.
Both men were fined £250 for fly-tipping but must also pay £916 each towards the council’s costs as well as £34 to help fund victim services.
Cllr Shelley Powell, Knowsley’s cabinet member for communities and neighbourhoods, said: “Fly tipping is a blight on our communities, and I’m delighted to see the recent action we’ve taken against those who disrespect our neighbourhoods and environment in this way.
“We are able to take this action thanks to the dedication of our environmental health team, our extensive CCTV network and from information shared by our residents. We take this issue extremely seriously and will do all in our power to tackle it.”
She also warned residents to make sure they used a licensed waste carrier to dispose of their household waste, otherwise they could face a fine themselves.
She said: “We also use this opportunity to remind residents of their own waste disposal responsibilities.
“We urge anyone getting rid of household waste to only give it to a licenced waste carrier as residents can be taken to court and fined for giving their waste to an unlicensed carrier, who then goes on to fly tip the items.”
