A man is on the run from police after fleeing a drugs raid at a house in Liverpool.
The man bolted after police made the surprise visit to the home in Vauxhall just after 7am today.
Police carrying out the drugs warrant found a gun at the rear of the property during a search at the address in Lyle Street this morning.
The man fled after the unexpected wake-up call.
The recovered firearm will now go through tests to establish whether it was a functioning gun.
Police confirmed the man who fled the scene has still not been traced.

A spokeswoman told the ECHO: "We attended at an address in Lyle Street, Vauxhall, at 7.10am today, Friday March 29, to execute a drugs warrant.
"A male made off from the address in the direction of Bangor Street.
"During a search of the area a firearm was recovered at the rear of a property."

She added: "The firearm is being forensically recovered and tests will establish if it is a viable weapon.
"Enquiries remain ongoing to trace the male."
