Man on plane who wanted window open in battle with passenger who wants it closed

A man on a plane was locked in a bitter passive-aggressive battle with another passenger who wanted his window closed - and kept closing it herself every time he opened it.

Sharing a clip of the dispute on TikTok, Gregory Hernandez had the window seat but due to the layout of the aisles the window was slightly aligned with the woman's seat - but only by a tiny fraction.

He decided he wanted to see out the window so he opened the cover, but then a hand, complete with pink fingernails, reaches back and slams it shut.

Gregory then reopens it and the woman closes it again, and they repeat this action for a while until he slapped the woman's hand, before uploading a clip of the battle to TikTok, with the caption 'who's window is it?'

Uploaded on Wednesday, August 11, the clip already has nearly two million views, alongside thousands of likes and comments - including many who said he was in the right to keep opening the window.

One user, with the username Muffet 1818, said: "If you have to reach behind you, definitely not yours."

And another said: "Don't get a window seat if you don't want the window."

"I'd be petty enough to hold it open the whole entire flight", another wrote.

But spare a thought for flight attendants, who have to spend endless flights and hours in the sky keeping things running surrounded by them.

Many of them have shared their worst experiences with travellers online.

This includes Shawn Kathleen, a former flight attendant who created an account called Passenger Shaming dedicated to highlighting badly behaved travellers.
