Man on murder bid rap after person 'knocked down and injured' on Scots road

A man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly knocking someone down and injuring them.

The 32-year-old has been arrested and charged after a man was reportedly struck with a car in Topping Gardens, Fraserburgh, around 8am on Sunday May 2.

Police officers were called to reports of a man being injured after he was hit by a vehicle.

The extent of his injuries are not known.

The accused is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, May 4.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with an attempted murder in Fraserburgh.

"Around 8.05pm on Sunday, 2 May, 2021, police received a report a man was injured after being struck with a car in Topping Gardens, Fraserburgh.

"The man is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 4 May, 2021."
