A motorcyclist in his thirties has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a collision with a car on Easterly Road near Oakwood in north Leeds.
The crash happened at 6.50am when police were called to the scene near to the junction with Montagu Avenue, Leeds.
The man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary and his injuries are not considered to be life-threatening.
The driver of the Volkswagen Golf that collided with the motorcycle stopped at the scene and has been spoken to by officers.
Anyone who witnessed the collision or the circumstances leading up to it, particularly anyone with relevant dashcam footage, is asked contact the Roads Policing Unit via 101 quoting reference 13190635260.
Easterly Road has been closed to inbound traffic heading towards Leeds for several hours.
