A man from Yorkshire surprised his girlfriend with a very unique and let's be honest, pretty amazing, marriage proposal on a flight from Glasgow Airport to Barra in the Outer Hebrides.
Jamie Forde, 26, arranged with staff at Barra airport, the only airport in the world with a runway on the beach for a scheduled flight, to draw the proposal in the sand for his partner Anna to spot on the plane’s approach to land.
Thankfully Anna spotted the message, which read “Anna, Will You Marry Me?” in huge letters, and turned to Jamie and said 'what?' Then once she realised it had been arranged by Jamie she said 'yes'", BBC News reports.
Jamie then got down on one knee to propose to Anna, 25, once the Twin Otter plane had landed following the 1h 15min flight from Glasgow to Barra, which is on the bucket list of aviation fans the world over.
Jamie, himself an avid plane fan, said that flight operator Loganair and airport staff went above and beyond to make sure the unusual proposal could take place.

He told BBC News : "I hadn't expected the airport to agree to it, but they did and even did test flights using a drone to make sure the message was in the right place for Anna to see.
"We got a round of applause from the rest of those on the flight when they realised what was happening."
Having played their part, Loganair shared news of the (successful) proposal on social media along with the caption: “The Barra beach landing will always be a special experience - it's the world’s only scheduled air service where you land on the beach!
However to some it's even more memorable than that... congratulations to Jamie and Anna who got engaged on our flight above Traigh Mhor Beach!”
