Man on drugs rap after cops bust £18k cannabis farm in raid on Scots home

A man has been charged after cops have found an £18,000 cannabis haul after a raid on a Scots home.

Officers executed a search warrant on a home on Balnagask Road in Aberdeen, in the Torry area of the city, yesterday.

They recovered cannabis plants with an estimated street value of over £18,000.

A 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged and will appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court at a later date.

Police say enquiries are ongoing into the incident.

Police Sergeant Chris Wilson of Torry Police Station said they would continue to act on tip-offs from members of the public.

He said: “We remain committed to targeting the illegal supply of drugs in our local communities.

"Any information we receive from the public, will be acted upon. I would encourage anyone with any information about suspicious activity in their area, to call Police Scotland on 101 or if you wish to remain anonymous, to call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
