Man on drugs rap after £380k worth of cannabis seized by cops in Glasgow

A man has been charged after cops seized £380,000 worth of cannabis during a drug raid in Glasgow.

Police swooped on a property on Walton Street, in the city's Shawlands area, to execute a drug search warrant on Monday and recovered cannabis worth £370,000.

A five-figure sum of cash was also recovered from the property.

On the same day police stopped a car in Deanston Drive, Glasgow and discovered £10,000 worth of cannabis in the vehicle as well as a four-figure sum of money.

A 30-year-old man has been charged in connection with drug offences and is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.

Detective Inspector Alan Ferguson of Great Glasgow CID said :“Removing drugs from our streets continues to remains a priority for officers.

"I would ask anyone with any information about drug activity in their area to report this to us so that we can investigate thoroughly.

“Anyone with information should call Police Scotland on 101 or alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
