Man not seen for five days believed to have travelled to Glasgow and Kirkintilloch areas

A missing man is believed to have travelled between Buchanan Street Bus Station in Glasgow city centre to the Kirkintilloch and Kilsyth areas.

Alex Ewing, 64, was last seen at around 11.50am on Monday, March 6 in the Northfield area of Aberdeen. Police Scotland is appealing for anyone who has seen him or has information about his whereabouts to come forward to assist with their search.

Alex is described as 5ft 10in tall, of a medium build, with very short grey hair and stubble. He speaks with an Aberdonian accent and wears glasses. When Alex was last seen, he was carrying a black Slazenger holdall and was wearing blue jeans, and a green parka jacket with a fluffy trim on the hood.

A statement from the Greater Glasgow Police Division reads: "We believe Alex may have travelled using the bus network between Buchanan Street Bus Station in Glasgow to the Kirkintilloch and Kilsyth areas on Friday 10 March.

"Anyone who has seen Alex, or has information to help in tracing him, should contact us via 101 and quote incident number 3056 of 6 March."
