Man mugged in terrifying attack on Scots street as cops launch probe

Police have launched a probe after a man was mugged in a terrifying attack on a Scots street this afternoon.

The 20-year-old was on St Catherine's Road in Perth when he was approached by two men at around 12.30pm on Tuesday, November 2.

The thugs subsequently assaulted the man and robbed him of his wallet.

Thankfully he did not require medical attention but police are appealing for information.

The suspects are described as being in their 30s to 40s, between 5ft 6in and 5ft 8 in in height, both had beards and were wearing dark clothing consisting of tracksuits and hooded jumpers.

One of the men was also wearing a hat.

Detective Constable Mark Ross said: “We are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time or who has any other information which may assist us to get in touch.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact officers on 101 quoting incident 1686 of November 2.
