Man moaning about 'neighbours music' learns it's something else entirely

A man complaining over loud music he seemed to think was coming from neighbours has been told it was something else entirely.

Posting in a Southport Facebook group at around 7.30pm yesterday (Saturday), the man wrote: "Can anyone else hear (what some people may mistakenly call) music?"

Within minutes, people had rushed to reply to him - with many giving him the same explanation.

One woman wrote: "I can hear it on Forrest Road"

Another said: "I can hear it on Leyland Road"

One woman clarified the situation, saying: "It will be Save The Rave, it's an organised event".

Another wrote: "It just might be the music festival taking place."

A third said: "Fantastic to see people enjoying themselves."

A fourth wrote: "Might just open my window and get a strobe light on the go in ours."

One man said: "Not my scene, but hope all who attended had a great time."

There was indeed a 90s themed outdoor event at Victoria Park on Saturday.

Ravers gathered at the park until 10pm.

Another festival took place today (Sunday), with a whole host of tribute acts for bands and artists such as The Beatles and Amy Winehouse.
