A 23-year-old man has been reported missing from Jefferson Park on the Northwest Side.
Alexandru Madac was last seen Monday at his home in the 5500 block of North Mulligan Avenue, according to a missing person alert from Chicago police. A day later, he posted a photo of himself at Evanston Beach on a social media site, and later deleted that account.
He has since deleted all his other social media accounts and disabled his phone, police said. He is an avid hiker and has hiked various trail areas nearby.
Madac is 6 feet, 270 pounds, with green eyes, blond hair, and has a fair complexion, police said.
