Man missing for almost three months - but his bus pass has been used every day

Fears are growing for a pensioner who has been missing for three months - although his bus pass has been used every day since he vanished.

Robert Aucott, 75, hasn't been seen or heard from since April, Merseyside Police said.

Mr Aucott is from Chester but his pensioner's bus pass has been used on routes around Liverpool each day since he went missing.

Officers are appealing to the public for information that could help locate him and have asked people who use the bus in the city to keep an eye out for him.

The pass was mostly being used on the number 14 route throughout June and July, reports the Liverpool Echo.

It is not clear which bus service the pass holder is using but people on the following routes should report any details to police:

  • Stagecoach 14 - Liverpool city centre to Tower Hill in Kirkby.
This route travels from town through Everton, Clubmoor, Gillmoss and Southdene.
  •
  • Arriva 14 & 14X - Croxteth to Liverpool
This route travels from Liverpool, through Everton, Clubmoor, Gillmoss, and Knowsley Industrial Estate.

Merseyside Police wrote on Twitter : "Have you seen Robert Aucott? He's 75, from Chester & has been missing since April.

"Robert is known to frequent the Liverpool area & his bus pass has been reportedly used daily in June & July (in particular on the 14 route).

"If you've seen him please call on 01517773600."
