A Formby man made an unexpected discovery when he looked up at his roof this weekend.
On Sunday (June 27), Clive Tunley saw something unusual outside his home in Formby.
Clive told the ECHO : "I looked up and thought it was a bird covered in blood, so I got the camera out to have a closer look.

"It was a pink pigeon. It had a ring on its leg so I assume a racing pigeon. It flew off after about an hour so hopefully it was okay.
"Certainly not something you see every day."
In a bid to try to track down the bird's owners, Clive posted a photo of the pigeon on a neighbourhood app.
One commenter said: "Well and truly a funky pigeon."
Another wrote: "Apparently people dye them pink to scare off birds of prey. Poor thing."
The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB) said the bird appears to have been artificially dyed.
A spokeswoman said: "This shocking pink plumage is not a natural colour for this species and it looks to have been artificially dyed.
"This worrying act can cause health problems and is likely to make the poor bird more vulnerable to predators. Many dyes are also could also toxic to animals, either causing skin irritation or internal issues if it ingests the toxins while trying to clean itself."
This isn't the first time someone in Sefton has discovered an unusual bird.
On Tuesday (June 22), a three-year-old boy found a "big scary bird" next to his mum's head as she slept.
Sarah Johnson was fast asleep when her son, Jack, ran into her room at 4am. The three-year-old was in shock after seeing an owl staring at him from the end of the bed.
Sarah, from Southport, was spooked when she looked up to see the owl now on her headboard "staring at her" when she woke up.
