A man who died after falling from a building in Bootle has been named locally as Jay Farley.
Tributes have been posted to the man, believed to be 26, who died after a fall from Bootle Strand car park. Police and ambulance crews were called to Stanley Road, near Bootle Strand, at around 10am on Tuesday, April 11.
The emergency services were responding to calls for concern for the safety of a man. Jay was taken to hospital for treatment, however, police have confirmed today that the man has died.

He has been described as a "kind" and "gentle" person by friends and family. Posting a tribute to Facebook, Kacis said: "Absolutely devastated at our news today, RIP our Jay your back with your mum now mate."
Another, Paige McDonnell said: "Jay, you are loved by so many people, such a kind, gentle person who would always have anyone's back. I hope you can rest easy , we love you." Kay Dunn added the comment: "Forever 26."
Leanne Bennett said: "God bless to everyone who knew him especially his family, RIP." Jane Stack added: "Sympathy to all the family. May he rest in peace." While Claire Evans commented: "God bless this young lad and all of his family. It's just heart breaking."
Police and forensic officers remained at the scene for much of yesterday, while investigations were ongoing. The cordon covered Vermont Way, Washington Parade and Delaware Road, surrounding Bootle Strand.
