A man plunged to his death from the top of a waterfall after he allegedly took selfie and lost his footing.

Ketan Hirabhai Patel fell along a stream of fast water and hit the ground.

In mobile phone footage Mirror Online has chosen not to publish, screaming can be heard beside Bilpudi Waterfall near Dharampur city in Gujarat, west India.

Medics dashed to the scene but the man was pronounced dead at the bottom of the waterfall, local media reports.

The tragedy took place on Tuesday.

Last year, a boy fell into a waterfall in east India's Odisha state while trying to take a selfie.

He died after losing his footing and plummeted to the ground.

And in Moscow, a teenager plunged 90ft to her death after posing for a sunset picture on a high-rise block of flats.

Ekaterina Chernova asked a friend to take the snap on the roof of the nine-story building.

But she lost her balance and fell in Moscow, Russia, it is believed.

Ekaterina, who died instantly, has become the sixth young female to be killed or severely injured in Russia while trying to take the perfect photo.
