A man has lost 60lbs at John Kavanagh's Straight Blast Gym in a couple of months.

The MMA coach revealed how Mark Crabbe shed the weight on his Instagram account.

Kavanagh, who trains UFC star Conor McGregor, posted: "Want to give a shout out to SBG Warrior @markdub01 who has lost 27kgs (60lbs) in the few months since he signed up at @sbgireland and enrolled in our current season of @wimp2warrior .

"I've always said the physical transformations are of course nice but like the exposed part on an iceberg there is a lot more going on underneath what you see. The positive mental changes is what the program is really about.

"We've a few tough weeks ahead of us. We must learn to become comfortable in the uncomfortable and seek out and celebrate small victories.

"Stay safe."

Wimp 2 Warrior is a 20 week MMA training programme which has has exploded in popularity in recent years.

Previously speaking about the programme, Kavanagh said: “My love for this sport and the knowledge of what it can do for regular men and women, especially through the Wimp 2 Warrior program gets me out of bed in the morning.

“It’s a very special program that reminds me constantly why I got into martial arts in the first place.”
