Man left with severe facial injuries following 'brutal' attack in house in Larkhall

A man has been left with severe facial injuries after being assaulted inside a house in Larkhall on Friday.

At around 3.10pm two men forced their way into a house in Hawick Crescent and attacked a 36-year-old man.

The two suspcets ran out of the house before speeding off in a silver Jaguar driven by a third man, heading in the direction of Socita Crescent.

The injured man was taken by ambulance to Wishaw General Hospital and later transferred to Monklands Hospital where he was treated for severe facial injuries.

The first suspect who entered the house is described as white, around 5ft 6 and in their early 50s. He is of slim build with short dark hair and was wearing black clothing.

The second man is also white, around 6ft 2, with dark hair shaven into his head. He is thought to be in his 40s and is of stocky, muscular build with tattoos on both arms. He was wearing a short-sleeved T-shirt and blue jeans.

Police Scotland are now appealing for those with any information to come forward while they carry out enquiries.

Detective constable, Ashley Hind, at Cambuslang CID said: “This was a very brutal attack on an innocent man.

Warning to motorists as traffic lights broken at busy south side junction 

“Anyone who was in the vicinity and may have seen the suspects or a silver/grey car hanging about is asked to contact police immediately. 

“ Anyone who has the suspects or vehicle captured on their Dash Cam is also asked to contact police as this could prove vital in tracing those responsible for this despicable act of violence.” 



Anyone with information would contact Cambuslang CID via telephone number 101 quoting incident number 2480 of 29 March 2019. Alternatively calls can be made via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where anonymity can be maintained.
