Man left with serious injuries after being attacked in the street in Tameside

A man has been left with serious injuries after being attacked in the street in Tameside.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Byron Road in Denton on Wednesday evening (December 18) to reports of an assault.

A 30-year-old man was discovered on the street seriously injured and was taken to hospital.

An investigation has been launched and no arrests have been made at this time.

GMP is now appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

A spokesman said: "At around 5pm on December 18, police were called to a report that a man had been assaulted on Byron Road, Denton.

"A 30-year-old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. No arrests have been made.

"An investigation is underway."

The North West Ambulance Service added: "We were called at 5.20pm to Byron Road in Denton.

"We attended with an ambulance and a rapid response vehicle and a patient was taken to hospital with serious injuries."
