Man left with 'puncture wound' after serious assault in Glasgow

A man was left with a puncture wound after a serious assault in Glasgow .

A 32-year-old was attacked and injured on Cochrane Street, near George Square, at around 10.40pm on October 19.

He was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary and released following treatment.

The suspect is described as a white man, aged between 30 and 35, with short brown hair and of slim build.

He was wearing a dark hooded top with grey bottoms.

Police Scotland are now appealing for witnesses following the incident.

Enquiries are ongoing and officers are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Constable Craig Muir, of Glasgow CID, said: “We are aware that the incident happened on a busy Saturday night where there may have been a number of witnesses.

“We are appealing to anyone who may have seen the assault, or the suspect afterwards, to get in contact.

“There would also have been a number of cars passing by at the time of the incident so would ask that anyone with dash cam footage to come forward as soon as possible.”
