Man left with life-changing head injury after violent attack at Liam Gallagher's Cardiff gig

A man has suffered a life-changing head injury following an alleged assault at a Liam Gallagher gig in Cardiff Bay. The 34-year-old man suffered the injuries at Gallagher’s sell-out gig at Alexandra Head on Thursday, September 15.

Detectives say the man was “seriously assaulted” during the ex-Oasis frontman’s show which left him hospitalised. In a separate incident a 28-year-old woman also ended up in hospital with a broken jaw after she was attacked shortly after the concert at a Tesco cash machine at Mermaid Quay in the early hours of Friday, September 16.

A South Wales Police spokesman said the force was appealing for help in trying to find anyone who might have witnessed the attack on the man at the show at some point between 9.30pm and 10pm. They said: “Officers need to speak to anyone who may have witnessed any part of this incident or may have video or mobile phone footage of what has taken place."
