Man left with knife sticking out of his head after savage street brawl

This shocking footage shows a man calmly climbing into an ambulance with a knife sticking out of his head.

The remarkable scene was caught on camera in the Chinese city of Chongqing just moments after the man was reportedly stabbed in a brawl.

A haunting picture shows the handle of the folding blade up against the back of his head as he lies in hospital.

Doctors later shaved his head and safely removed the weapon in an operation on July 13, with the patient now recovering in hospital, the Chongqing Morning Post reports.

A hospital spokesman said: "The young man is doing fine. He suffered an open fracture, but he was already very lucid yesterday (12 July)."

Chinese media originally reported that the knife had been accidentally thrown at his head, however police later said it was the result of a fight.

It comes just weeks after at least 39 children and staff were injured in a knife attack at a primary school in China.

According to reports, a security guard was suspected of carrying out the attack and was arrested at the scene.

The incident took place last month at the Wangfu Town Central Primary School and many of the children were pre-schoolers, reports the  South China Morning Post.

State broadcaster CCTV reported three people were seriously injured in the incident- the headteacher, another security guard and a student.

People could be seen distressed and bloodied as they left the scene.

Video from the scene showed a man being led away in handcuffs by officers.

Chinese media clips showed medics tending to children wearing bandages on their heads and bodies following the attack.
