Man left with head injury following incident at Aberdeen v Rangers match

Police have released images of a man they believe may be able to assist them after an incident following an Aberdeen v Rangers match.

The incident happened at the March 3 fixture at Pittodrie Football Stadium, shortly after the game had finished.

A man sustained a head injury and required hospital treatment as a result.

Police Scotland officers have issued an appeal to find the man pictured, described as being in his 20s with very short, fair hair. He was wearing a black and grey jacket and a Rangers scarf at the time.

PC Tom Bashforth said: “I would appeal to anyone who witnessed this incident or who recognises the man pictured to contact police via 101 quoting reference number CF0053110319.

"Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 if you wish to remain anonymous.”
