Man left with fractured shoulder after being attacked by two men with metal poles in Sunderland

A man suffered a fractured shoulder after being attacked by two men with metal poles in Sunderland.

The incident happened on Fawcett Street at around 1am on January 7.

Police were called to the scene where they found a 48-year-old man lying in the street.

The victim was attacked outside The William Jameson pub by two men with metal poles.

He was taken to hospital after suffering a fractured shoulder.

Northumbria Police launched an investigation and have identified two men they would like to speak to.

They were in the area at the time of the incident and could help police with their enquiries.
