Man left with facial injuries after serious assault in Hamilton

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Hamilton on Tuesday night.

Officers were called to an incident in Fairhill Avenue, at around 9.20pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We received a report of a serious assault on Fairhill Avenue, Hamilton, around 9.20pm on Tuesday, January 7, 2020.

“A 22-year-old man was taken to Hairmyres Hospital with facial injuries. Enquiries are ongoing.

“If anyone has any information about this incident, please contact us on 101 quoting incident number 3509 or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
