Man left with facial injuries after brutal daylight attack in busy Glasgow street

A man was left with serious facial injuries after a brutal daylight attack in a busy street in Glasgow.

The 53-year-old was assaulted in the Maryhill Road area of the city at around 11.30am on Monday, June 8.

He was rushed to Glasgow Royal Infirmary for treatment after the vicious incident, which happened near the junction of Bilsland Drive, Maryhill Road and Queen Margaret Drive.

Detectives from Police Scotland are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the attack.

In particular they are looking for information on a blue car with up to four men inside that was at the junction at the time.

Anyone with information that could help with the investigation is asked to contact Maryhill CID by calling Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 1460 of Monday, 8 June, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
