Man left with broken arm after being attacked while walking his dog in Washington

A man has been left with a broken arm after he was attacked in Washington park while out walking his dog.

Shortly after 10.30am on Sunday May 3, police officers received a report that a man had been assaulted in Albany Park

The dog walker was confronted by another man, who is said to have had a terrier-type white dog with brown patches with him.

The attacker then knocked the victim to the ground before continuing to punch and kick him.

The victim was left with a broken arm as a result of the attack.

An investigation is ongoing into the serious assault and detectives have now appealed for anybody with information, or who witnessed the assault, to come forward.

The offender is described as a white man, in his 60s, of slim to medium build with a grey beard, white/grey hair and glasses.

He was believed to be wearing a light-coloured long sleeve top, jeans and black trainers at the time.
