Police have appealed for information after a man was attacked in Ashington while he was walking home from a night out.
It has been reported that the victim was assaulted by another man, who was in the company of three others, and was found unconscious on Station Road shortly before 3.15am on December 8.
It is believed the attack had happened earlier between 2am and 3.10am on Reiverdale Road.
Officers are now appealing for help from the public to trace those responsible.
