A care worker was left speechless after a woman and her daughter came to his aid following an accident.
Tony Andrews was riding home from work on his electric bike near the Carr Mill pub, close to East Lancashire Road, when an accident caused him to come off, going over the handlebars.

"The dog had spooked a black cat the had been hiding under one of the parked cars and unfortunately ran across the road into my path I saw it straight away and slammed on my brakes,
"But I was travelling at just under 30 miles per hour, at that speed the force had thrown me over the handlebars, then the bike followed me and landed on top of me."

Tony claims the lady and her daughter then rushed to check he was okay, he said: "She came over to check I was okay, saw that I was, and kept me talking until I regained my strength to get up again.
"She also kept an eye out if their were any cars coming just in case they didn't see me.
"I've spoken to her today and she said her daughter has been asking about me all day and hoping I was okay."
Tony explained how he tried to get up for work the following morning but the pain forced him to visit the walk-in centre, where he was told he had broken his am close to the elbow joint.
He is now forced to have time off work while he recovers.
