Man left seriously injured after being stabbed in a late-night Glasgow assault

A man has been left in a serious condition after being stabbed during a late night assault in Glasgow .

Emergency crews raced to Castlemilk Drive on Thursday night after reports of a disturbance between 11.15pm and 11.45pm.

A 20-year-old man was found in a serious condition and was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with a puncture wound.

Police are now attempting to track down the driver of a white van which was seen driving towards the man before making off along Ardencraig Road.

Detective Constable Craig Phee of Cathcart CID said: “We are appealing for witnesses who may have seen this disturbance or who may have seen a white van in the immediate area of this disturbance to get in touch.

“I also urge any motorists who were in the area and who may have dashcam footage which could assist with our enquiries into the incident to get in touch."

A spokesperson for Police Scotland added: “Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 3981 of March 12.”
