Man left injured after fire rips through shed in Fife town

A man has been left injured after f ire crews raced to tackle a blaze in Dunfermline last night.

Two fire engines were deployed to Whitemyre Court, in the Rumbling area of the Fife town, at around 10pm after reports of a shed on fire.

One picture on social media shows flames billowing into the sky.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue said one man was injured in the fire and was treated by paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service.

Locals took to Facebook to express their concerns after seeing the huge flames.

One woman said: "Oh my. I hope all involved are safe and well."

Another said: "That's some fire for a shed."

One man wrote: "Praying for everyone involved."

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "We were alerted at 10.04pm on Monday, August 31 to reports of a shed on fire on Whitemyre Court, Dunfermline, Fife.

"Operations Control mobilised two appliances to the scene to extinguish the fire.

"One male casualty was passed into the care of paramedics.


"Crews lefts after making the area safe."
